At first I could not understand why The Crazies and people like Jack Kopac wanted to destroy me, but eventually I realized that people like them saw all other people as corrupt, evil doers like they are and therefore, everyone is a threat to them. After all, would they trust themselves? In their minds, everyone is corrupt like they are and therefore can never be trusted. In the big picture, the overall result is that you end up with a totally screwed up world.
